Cable TV Ratings – 4/26/09

For the week ending on April 26, 2009, USA Network’s WWE Entertainment filled the top two positions. Various sports events, including the NFL Draft, the Yankees/Red Sox game, the Lakers/Jazz game, and the Bulls/Celtics game made Nielsen Media’s Top 20 list for the week. The highest rated event, the NFL Draft, held the No. 3 spot, while the Yankees/Red Sox game occupied the No. 4 position.

The 2009 NBA playoffs are in full swing, with the Chicago Bulls, the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Orlando Magic, the Seattle Seahawks, the Los Angeles Lakers, the Denver Nuggets, the Dallas Mavericks, and the Houston Rockets among the teams left to battle it out for victory.

After another thrilling overtime match, the Chicago Bulls and the Boston Celtics are due for a Game 7. During this week’s match, Derrick Rose blocked Rajon Rondo’s almost game-winner and scored 28 points. John Salmons scored 35 points, and the Bulls defeated the Celtics 128-127 after going into overtime three times. The teams will return to Boston on Saturday for Game 7.

Three of the last five games between the competitors went into overtime, with Game 4 having a double overtime.
