According to Nielsen Media’s Cable TV ratings for the week ending on March 8, Nickelodeon’s iCarly led the week with more than 6.3 million viewers. USA’s Burn Notice claimed the second position, delivering nearly 6.1 million viewers. After several weeks of domination, WWE RAW finally lost its top position, but firmly secured both third and fourth place with 5.8 and 5.3 million respective viewers.
Children’s programming filled 12 of the week’s top 20 positions, with five slots occupied by Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants. The Disney Channel’s Hannah Montana attracted 4.2 million viewers, making it the nation’s seventh most-watched cable TV program.
In overall cable network viewership, USA and Nickelodeon led again. USA delivered the most prime-time viewers for the week, with an average of 3.057 million. Nickelodeon attracted the most Total Day cable viewers, averaging 2.161 million.
