Fox’s Upcoming Lineup

Some changes are in the works for Fox, as their lineup plans have changed midseason. Of course hits such as “American Idol” and “House” are returning for your entertainment pleasure. Consistently ranking as the nation’s most-watched TV show, “American Idol” will continue with its eighth season on January 13th, freshening things up to keep things interesting. This season “American Idol” is bringing a new member to the team, Kara DioGuardi, who is a singer and songwriter. She joins Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, and Randy Jackson to make the fourth judge. “House” is also planning on moving up to a new night.

“House,” which was previously airing on Tuesdays, is now moving to Mondays at 8 o’clock p.m. EST so it can accommodate the large numbers of viewers it attracts. This change will start on January 19th, staring the irresistible Hugh Laurie as Gregory House. Monday is the most popular night for television, with Friday being the least popular, according to Nielsen Media Research.

A lot of other shows will be changing times. One of which is “Bones,” which is moving to Thursdays at 8 o’clock p.m. on January 18th. The game show “Hole in the Wall,” starting January 18th will broadcast episodes at 7 o’clock p.m. on Sundays, with back-to-back programming.

If you’re looking for something new to spice things up, Fox is getting some new series like “Lie to Me,” a debuting crime drama. This series will be airing following “American Idols” results episode, and it will star Tim Roth. “Lie to Me” will start on January 21st at 9 o’clock p.m. EST.

You can also look forward to “Dollhouse,” created by Joss Whedon, who also brought you “Buffy the Vampire Slayer.” This series features Eliza Dushku, who stars as an individual in a group of underground people whose personalities are erased and imprinted with other, new ones.
